Buried Alive

Buried Alive

Two soaptree yuccas struggle to keep above the ever-rising gypsum dunes. Relentless valley winds move the dunes an average of 30 feet (10 metres) each year and can rise 50-60 feet in height. Yuccas that survive in this harsh environment must grow faster than the dunes accummulate or risk being buried alive.
