Superstition Sentry

Superstition Sentry

A solitary saguaro cactus stands guard at the entrance to the Superstition Mountains - home to the fabled Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine

Legend has it that a rich vein of gold was discovered here in the 1800s by miner Jacob Waltz. The exact location of the mine has never been found although thousands have searched for it over the years.

Truth or legend? The mystery continues..
