The
largest cliff dwelling in North America is aptly called 'The Cliff
Palace'. Construction took place between the 12th & 13th centuries.
The complex measures 88 metres (288 feet) in length and consists
of about 150 rooms and 23 kivas. The dwelling was hewn into an alcove
measuring 27 metres (89 feet) in depth and 18 metres (59 feet) in
height
