Pueblo of the Anasazi

Pueblo of the Anasazi

The Square Tower House is one of many cliff dwellings hewn into alcoves in Mesa Verde national park. These buildings were communities built by the Anasazi, or 'the ancient ones', likely between the 12th & 13th centuries. This particular ruin lay inside an alcove of Chapin Mesa. The four story tower is the tallest in all of Mesa Verde.
