Built
in roughly 950 AD, Rothenburg ob der Tauber was a medieval village
located in the the Franconia region of Bavaria, Germany. The name
Rothenburg is actually a shortened version which in German means
Rot (Red) and Burg (burg, medieval fortified town), or Red Town,
giving to the colour of the roofs that cap the glorious architecture
of its buildings. The colour of each structure seems to compete
with one another for attention, making the area a delight for my
lens
The town is
buildt on a plateau above the Tauber river, hence the rest of
its proper name
