Abandoned since 1956, the town of Kolmanskop in the heart of the Namib desert in South West Africa, is slowly being reclaimed by Nature.

Metaphorically, to me, the sand represents time and this image evokes our past, the sand being our memories as it constantly shifts and grows, filling the rooms of our psyche and shaping who we are.
