Abandoned since 1956, the town of Kolmanskop in the heart of the Namib desert in South West Africa, is slowly being reclaimed by Nature.

Metaphorically, to me, the sand represents time and this image is especially poignant. The rooms filled with sand represent our past, and the doorway with the golden light that has only a light dusting represents our future
