Bryce Canyon
Daybreak on the Silent City

Monument Valley is otherworldly. A stark, flat desert landscape suddenly broken up by the numerous buttes and mesas that seemingly sprout up from the desert floor like a neolithic garden. I ventured to Monument Valley six different times in pursuit of the above image. The light at Monument Valley is particularly harsh and I wanted to capture it in the softer, pastel hues of the cold winter sky. Mother nature also had to cooperate and provide a light dusting of snow to reveal more of the rocky details and to add contrast to the scene. It was an image that took many years to capture correctly, but was worth the effort in the end.

This triptych is comprised of 3 separate sections, each measuring 30" x 24" for an overall single image size of 2.5 feet by 6 feet
The overall image is a composite of five 6x7 scanned film images producing startling detail and realism, even when viewed up close

Each section is reproduced on the finest tight weave fine art canvas to retain the details.
The canvas is then stretched and the image wrapped around the sides to negate the need for a traditional frame
while at the same time provide a truly unique appearance.
The depth of each section measures 1.5"

The canvas is treated with a matte laminant to resist fading due to UV exposure and also to seal the image.
Each section is signed on the reverse and once on the far right panel's face.
A Certificate of Authenticity will also accompany the finished work.

If you are looking for a focal point for your room with MAJOR IMPACT, this stunning photograph of Monument Valley will do the trick.
